When certain design elements (e.g. views or agents) are opened in the Designer Client, the properties dialog appears automatically at the same time. For other design elements (e.g. forms, subforms) this is not the case.
A parameter has been published for the NOTES.INI file that allows you to disable the display of the properties dialog.
DesignNoInitialInfobox=1
This ensures consistent behavior across all design elements.
Note
When I added the parameter on a 6.5.4 client (English), the Designer Client crashed completely (NSD) after a restart and when opening an agent for the first time.
After logging off and back on to Windows and trying again, it now works flawlessly.
Just so nobody gets confused… 😉
