
What is NotesKiller?
A Windows 32 tool to clean up (kill) any leftover processes after a Crash of your Notes Client - your running Notes Client will be killed, too... ;-)

Features
- Only one .EXE file - no installation required. Unzip and double-click the .EXE file.
- Runs on Windows 98, 2000, XP, 2003 (tested on Windows XP).
- Starting from Version 1.2.0 NotesKiller can run in "silent mode". Call NotesKiller with the command line switch -s, e.g.
NotesKiller -s
The settings from the noteskiller.ini file will be used and NotesKiller terminates automatically after doing his job. - Calls the NSD tool (Notes System Diagnostics) with the option -kill in the background. From the documentation of NSD you will know exactly, what madicon NotesKiller is doing.
- Calls to NSD are written to an activity log window.
- [Optional] Delete older files in the folder IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT (below your data directory) - output from NSD is written there. Only keeps the files from the last NSD run.
- [Optional] Delete the file Cache.DSK or Cache.NDK
- [Optional] Restarts your Notes Client after killing the processes. Calls NOTES.EXE or NLNOTES.EXE
- or -
Restarts Notes Minder after killing the processes. - [Optional] Stores your settings in a plain text file noteskiller.ini, which is stored where the .EXE file lives. So you can use NotesKiller with multiple instances of the Notes Client.
Or store the .EXE file central on a file server and call it every time with the same settings from any User-PC you like. - [Notes-like] Hit the ESC key to close NotesKiller :-)
