Program idea

Advertisement (not in the sense of SPAM) by email is usual today and offers a economical way to supply customers or prospective customers with current information concerning new products or services in nearly realtime.

Such mails should exhibit an individual salutation and - if desired - contains some more individual details of the recipient. Briefly - it should be a personalised message.

Additionally, one should be able to highlight important parts of the body text, use character and/or paragraph formating and attach files to the message.

Problem
If you use the out-of-the-box Lotus Notes Client to create every single, personalised mail, you have a lot of work and the process consumes very much time.

Solution
The application madicon easyMail for the Groupware Plattform IBM Lotus Notes/Domino Version 6.x and higher offers the creation of mailings in simple steps.
  • Manual input and/or import of addresses (from Notes data bases and/or CSV files)
  • Creation of the personalized mail template (replacement charaters are permitted in the topic and/or body text of the mail)
  • Dispatch the emails to all or selectable recipients

Features

  • Whole functionality within a singe .NSF file
  • Works with IBM Lotus Notes/Domino Client/Server version 6.x.x and above
  • Import of addresses from any Notes database or CSV file by the use of import templates - so the import of similar data at a later point is easy and fast
  • No limit on the amount of mail templates
  • Personalized messages through the use of replacement characters in the subject and body of the mail
  • Definition of 13 additional replacement character, which can be used in every mail
  • Free definition of the senders identification, e.g. info@madicon.de
  • Integrated preview and dispatch of test mails to freely selectable mail addresses
  • Logging for all accomplished mailings
  • Usage of the madicon easyMail database as an additional Domino Directory

Starting from version 1.8 on, madicon easyMail is using the new Role [Mailing] in the database ACL. Without this Role, you are only able to maintain contacts but not do mailings. Unfortunately, this new Role is not automatically applied to your database ACL during the update process. So please read the chapter 11.4.2 Adding the role [Mailing] to the ACL (version 1.8 and higher) from the manual.
